Product Description
REAGEN™Zilpaterol Strip Test is a qualitative and rapid lateral flow assay designed to detect zilpaterol residues in urine, feed and milk sample.
The unique features of the kit are:
l Rapid strip test method – 12 minutes
lNovel binding protein that requires no heating step
l High sensitivity,3-5ppb
lHigh reproducibility
Mechanism of Reaction
REAGEN™ The assay uses a competitive colloidal gold based format. The extration sample (100 μL) is added to a clear plastic reaction vessel, and used to resuspend the lyophilized reagents to a uniform pink color in the bottom of the microtiter wells. The sample is incubated briefly (4 min) to allowed to flow up the strip for 8 minutes by capillary action. The anti-zilpaterol antibodies on the gold particles engage with any Zilpaterol present in the sample. Any gold particles that are not complexed with zilpaterol present in the sample will bind to the zilpaterol imprinted at the Test line (T-line), forming a signal (red line) at that position. If the Anti-zilpaterol antibodies on the gold particles have engaged with zilpaterol present in the sample, the gold particle will flow past the T-line and reach the Control line (C-line). For visual interpretation of the test results, T-line signal intensity that is stronger or equal to the signal at the C-line indicates a negative result. Signal at the T-line which is less intense than the C-line indicates the presence of trace levels of zilpaterol in the sample (≥3-5 ppb*dilution factor)
